Friday was the final mad dash before the event. It was that last working day. Last minute RSVPs flew in from all over the world. Regretfully, we had also reached capacity so the day became a juggling act that left E*** diplomatically juggling ICTs, Missions, Private Sector, NGOs, VIPs and the personal guests of lots of people. I do not envy him his task, despite ending up sharing his duties. I spoke with a range of individuals who ranged from powerfully well connected to their representatives. As the guest list grew and culling was necessary, we googled, cross checked and redirected calls. We sent reminders and invitations to those who had lost theirs.

It was high octane organised madness but I thrive in those situations. Today is the volunteers briefing....so I had better go.
