Unfortunately, I cannot be there but I am still taking the lead on drafting our statements. This is made hard by the fact that both Ivana (in New York) and I rarely know what we can make oral interventions on until just before it starts. We are at a critical junction for Sustainable Development and Major Group for Children and Youth holds high hopes for CSD-19.
The thematic areas are so relevant and directly impact all aspects of life globally. Transport, chemicals, mining, and waste management sectors are affecting everyday life of millions children and youth all over the world. Therefore, it is vital that we hold governments accountable for what directly impacts our collective futures because if we don't...who will?
