YOUNGO

After some minor persuasion (i.e a forwarded email) from my good friend Esperanza Garcia...I applied to represent YOUNGO at Climate Finance talks with the AGF Secretariat to share Civil Societies initial reactions to the AGF report to be released this Friday.

I was excited, nervous and happy to be nominated to represent YOUNGO for the physical meeting in NYC, 4:30-6:00 pm EST on Monday, November 8. Basically this meeting will take place AFTER the release of the final report of the AGF.The UN Secretary General will hold a press event on Friday, Nov 5 at 9:00 am to release the AGF final report. I hope to go into work early and watch the press conference. As there is very little to do in preparation...I have read the leaked version and researched the AGF secretariat as well as Climate Finance in general. My main responsibility once the report is released is to follow up with the YOUNGO youth constituency both prior and after the physical meeting. I will keep you posted...but I envisage some chaos tomorrow. Wish me luck!?!
